District 14 met on 14 December at the O'Fallon Trailer Group location with the Wades Square Group hosting. There were 22 GSR's and guests in attendance. The 11 January and 8 February 2004 meetings will be hosted by the 623 Group. The 14 March and 11 April meetings will be tentatively hosted by the Collinsville Honesty Group. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there...
NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
Terry S. (233-6844) is the new GSR for Dr Bobs Group.
Collinsville Honesty Group has made available Where & When ' s at the Gateway Convention Center hotel(s) for people seeking a mee ting in Districts 14 & 18.
CPC (Chester P. - 337-1476): He has begun with the local doctors to see if they are interested in AA information. It was suggested that he work through the Nurse Managers at each office. Chester will move onto judges, hospitals and others. Alanon is helping in this effort.
TREATMENT (Udell G. - 332-2414). All Sundays are now covered. This includes a rare 5 th Sunday.
Corrections (Doug T. - 337-8451): Another applicant has completed the paperwork and is ready to be submitted. Meetings are carried behind the walls on Monday and Friday. If you are interested in a one-time, two-hour visit, call Doug if you are interested.
Webmaster (Rick H. - 277-8459): The guidelines for the website are final. All motions to change anything from its present status were tabled until the Jan 2004 GSR meeting. The discussion over this area was extensive and lively. Jim M. will contact GSO for guidance. A discussion after the meeting brought a possible solution that meets the current guidelines of District 14 (as handed out at the meeting) and preserves the anonymity of all. Rick H. can do the technical wizardry to make it happen. Rick H. has been made a member of the Website Committee. It makes sense and he has done a fantastic job in his duties as a Webmaster.
Answering Service (Maggie E. - 398-7012): Maggie has been appointed to fill this position. She will obtain all working papers from Tim R. in the near future.
Grapevine ((click here).- 277-9730): Maggie had to resign this position to accept the one above. Since I receive a lot of the literature necessary to order Grapevine material and I am retired, I have the time for the position.
District 14 Website Address is: http://www.aadistrict14.org There is also a website out there that has designhostpro in it. This is the old address and I put this in the new Where & When. I apologize profusely for this error. Fortunately, Rick has put a redirect on the old site so the individual will automatically be redirected to the correct site.
According to Rick, the website had ~20,000 hits on the site in 2002. So far for 2003, the site has been hit 25,660 times. Funds have been allotted for the site to be renewed for 2004.
The women's meeting at the St Clair County Jail still needs more women to help conduct meetings. If you can volunteer, call Sue S. (398-3648).
