NOTES FROM THE MEETING:

GSR’s were again asked for Group Histories. These are an interesting and worthwhile endeavor. You learn many things about the group and the local AA. Work with someone on drafting one for your group.

A proposal to combine CPC/PI into one job was raised. This is the case in many other districts around the country. This is being done on a temporary basis. Chester P. will be assisting Chuck G. in his PI/CPC efforts.

PI/CPC (Chuck G. - 337-5327). District 14 maintains 5 literature racks around the Metro East area. Literature will be ordered to restock these fully.

Chris C. will order two self-inking stamps to put a notice inside the pamphlets on how to contact the local AA Answering Svc.

After some discussion, soft-copy Big Books, pocket-sized 12x12’s and recovery pamphlets (8 cases/boxes) were to be ordered for use at SWCC, St Clair County Jail and AA literature racks.

The womens meeting at the St Clair County Jail needs more women to help conduct meetings.

WebSite (Rick H. 277-8549). Again, there was much discussion on the content of the website. Several GSR’s expressed their concerns on links to non-AA (Ala-non excluded) site(s). The DCM will talk to the Web Master.

Corrections (Doug T. 337-8451). Good success in getting clearances for people to attend and/or conduct meetings at SWCC.

Answering Service (Tim R. 281-9388). Tim was appointed as the new chair “lady” for this position.

Heard At A Meeting or Two:
1. Since my wife has been gone, I have had a whole lot of “thoughts”, but I have not acted upon a single one.
2. Failure is not going out --- it is in not coming back.
3. Spending a whole day with your wife can be hard work.

Rule 62, Part 105: As we glide through life, seeking low and seeking high. Looking to find that perfect thirst that will quench our desire for perfect peace. We soon will find, as the years soar by, that when we seek deep within our stream in our soul, we find the most awesome peace of all.
