NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
For people who have had felony convictions (to include DWI’s and DUI’s), you have to go through some extra paperwork to be allowed into Canada to attend the 2005 International Convention in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) website can help you will fulfilling that paperwork. The website is:
www.cic.gc.ca http://www.cic.gc.ca
Registration forms will be mailed to GSR’s in August 2004. If you wish to register on-line, there will be forms on the GSO site. The date they will be available is not yet known.
Attendance is down at the O’Fallon Trailer Group. More support would be appreciated. More people are needed to be on the Steering Committee to represent each meeting and then make the monthly business meeting.
A good chance to see how AA works….. Grapevine (Gene E. - 277-9730): Every issue of the Grapevine is now available on-line at: www.aagrapevine.org http://www.aagrapevine.org
Any subject you might have a question on is available. The cost is only $2 per month or $15 per year.
If you subscribe to the Grapevine, the cost (before 1 Oct) is only $5. Check it out.
CPC (Chester P. - 239-9391): Have finally finished moving to Belleville. Will begin to send inquiries to all area doctors. Next in the process will be the area lawyers and judges.
Corrections (Doug T. - 337-8451): Everything is going very well. The inmates appreciate all the literature received to include the old copies of the Grapevine. All inmates sincerely appreciate AA being there. The inmates would genuinely like to see an AA meeting every night but there are not enough approved/cleared AA people to make this happen. If you believe you would like to carry the message behind the walls, please give Doug a call.
