District 14 met on 16 May at the 623 Group in Belleville. There were 17 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The 13 June meeting will be hosted by the 623 Group in Belleville. The 11 July and 8 August meetings are to be hosted (pending approval) by the Red Bud Group. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..

For people who have had felony convictions (to include DWI’s and DUI’s), you have to go through some extra paperwork to be allowed into Canada to attend the 2005 International Convention in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There is a new meeting in Shiloh at the United Methodist Church on Saturday at 6 pm. It is called the Daily Reprive Group and is Open and Non-Smoking. Tracy H. is the GSR. They even have a potluck on the last Saturday of March, June, September & December with a speaker.  

Where & When Revision 2004: The draft will be reviewed by the GSR’s at the June & July meetings. Printing will be done in late July or early August. The new Where & When’s will be distributed NLT the October GSR Meeting.  

UPCOMING EVENTS: 

There will be a potluck and speaker meeting at Cahokia Serenity Group on 24 May 2004. It begins at 6 pm. The speaker is Johnnie S. who will be doing the “Big I” presentation. 

The Second City Round-Up will be held 28-30 May 2004 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago IL. It is a handicapped-accessible location, there will be signing for hearing-impaired individuals and child care will be available. The room rates are $109 per night. June 2004 Area Assembly: District 14 is the host. The site is the Shrine. The date is 6 June 2004. Arrangements have been made to have a special evening meeting at the Shrine on 5 June at 8 pm. Steve (Hobble) H. will be the speaker.

The Men of AA Annual Float Trip will be held 11-13 June 2004 at the Boiling Springs Resort in Licking, Missouri. There are some restrictions to this event: NO guns, fireworks, dogs or children. To get there, take I-44 to Rolla; exit onto Hwy 63 south. Drive about 36 miles to Licking, go 3 miles past the light in Licking to Hwy BB. Turn right (west), go about 7-8 miles to Boiling Springs Resort. (There are motel rooms available at your own expense about 9-10 miles away on Hwy 63).
