
District 14 met on 10 October in Shiloh at the Coffee Pot Group. There were 22 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The November and December GSR Meetings will be hosted by the 623 Group in Belleville. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..
NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
Harold F. is the new GSR for the Sparta Tues & Sun meeting.
There is once again a meeting in Breese. It is called the Breese Group until someone tells me different. It is an open, non-smoking meeting held at 8 pm on Monday. The location is the St John’s United Church of Christ on 200 North Main St.
The Friday 8 pm meeting at the OFTG is a campfire meeting --- weather permitting.
A literature rack will be located in the hospital at Red Bud and maintained by Dist 14.
The Wades Square Group has found a new home as they were forced to relocate. Call Steve H. (632-6712) for exact location.
Corrections (Doug T. – 337-8451): The meetings at SWICC continue to go very well. Doug requested more literature for use at SWICC and this was approved and will be ordered.
Website (Rick H. – 277-8549): The annual fee for the website hosting has been paid. Rick is in the process of posting the new Where & When. The site is receiving 60-80 hits per day or 21K to 29K per year.
Corned Beef & Cabbage in 2005: The CB&C will be held on 19 Mar 2005. Richard B. is the chairman. Johnnie S. will again be doing the cooking. Gene E. & Greg B. will be procuring the food except for the Horseradish, which Don F. will arrange to procure.
Where & When’s: 4000 have been printed and are available. The initial distribution was made at the Oct GSR meeting.
Alkathon 2005: Steve (Hobble) H. is going to check into a smoking tent for the event. Donations will hopefully cover the cost. The groups will be selecting their days at the November GSR meeting. The position of Chairman is still open --- an exceptional way to do service work.
There is a new meeting in Swansea at the C&K of LI on Friday at 7:30 pm. It is called Swansea Beginner’s Group as of this writing and is Open and Smoking. The address is: 2800 North Illinois St, Swansea IL.

The 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Collinsville Honesty Group will be celebrated on 15 Oct 2004 at 7 pm. The location is the St. Johns United Church of Christ at Clay & Seminary in Collinsville. Joe Z. is making homemade Italian pasta. Please bring a covered dish. Don K. will be the featured speaker.
The annual Carlyle Lake Campout will be held 15-17 Oct 2004 at the Dam-East Campground. Call Liz and Chuck for info at 632-6939.
