August 2005
District 14 met on 14 August in Brooklyn with the Recovery-In-Brooklyn Group hosting. It is a very nice facility and the District thanks Brooklyn for hosting the meeting. There were 13 GSRs and guests in attendance. There will be NO meeting in September. The 9 October meeting will be hosted by the 623 Group. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
The womens meetings at the St Clair County Jail are going very well. More softcover Big Books and Daily Reflections were ordered for the womens meeting. If you might be interested in this area of service work, call Sue S. (398-3648).
Answering Svc (Ethereal T. 233-7104): Ethereal talked again with Todd S. and found out that Dist 18 is still with Domyan Answering Service. We were advised to stick with Domyan until the 1-800 number program is instituted. The changeover is expected to happen sometime between the middle of August and the middle of September. The Membership will be kept informed

Corrections (Doug T. 337-8451): Going very well. More literature (softcover Big Books and Daily Reflections) were ordered for use at SWICC. Inmates very happy with meetings and the attendance is growing. Doug will go to the Statewide Corrections Conference in Bollingbrook IL from 30 Sep to 2 Oct 2005.
Treatment Facilities: (Udell G. 332-2414): Udell was in the hospital and Terry S. filled in for him. Meetings are still happening at Gateway and doing quite well.
New Where & When (Gene E. 277-9730): The master W&W has been taken to the printer. 3500 copies will be printed and should be ready for pickup in late August or early September. More later

The 2005 Spiritual Homecoming will be held on 25-27 November 2005 at the Millennium Hotel in St Louis Missouri. This is a National event Commemorating the 50PthP Anniversary of AA Coming of Age.
