NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
Robert B. (337-2506) is the new GSR for the Cahokia Serenity Group. Welcome!!!
The womens meetings at the St Clair County Jail are going very well. Sue and Kelli were given a tour/orientation of the facility. Very thorough. If you might be interested in this area of service work, call Sue S. (398-3648).
The mens meetings at the St Clair County Jail are going to resume; i.e., men are going once again carrying the message Behind the Walls. Wayne M. (233-0389) is the St Clair County Jail Coordinator for the men. If you are interested in this area of service work, call Wayne.
The Southern Illinois Area 21 Delegate (Carl M.) gave a thorough report on the latest annual GSO meeting. Also, he commented and provided helpful information on some of the topics that arose at the GSR meeting.
Answering Svc (Ethereal T. 233-7104): Ethereal talked with Todd S. and found out that Dist 18 is still with Domyan Answering Service. We were advised to stick with Domyan until the 1-800 number program is instituted. Todd is working (pending the GSR meeting in Dist 18 today 10 July) to work out some details. Then, Districts 12 (Champaign area), Dist 14 and Dist 18 will share a 1-800 number plus the cost. Note: These are the largest districts in SIA 21 by number of groups. More at the next GSR meeting
..
Corrections (Doug T. 337-8451): Going very well. Inmates very happy with meetings and the attendance is growing. Doug will go to the Statewide Corrections Conference in Bollingbrook IL from 30 Sep to 2 Oct 2005.
CPC (Tracy H. 588-3820): Will get a CPC packet from Central Svcs in St Louis. Have begun to work doctors and lawyers in the district.
Website (Gene and Rich): The Where & When on the website has been updated and will be updated in the near future. The url for the site is: http://www.aa-district14.org/ Believe it or not, that little dash between the aa and district is most important.
