District 14 met on 12 June 2005 in O’Fallon with the Trailer Group hosting. There were 12 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The July meeting will be hosted by the O’Fallon Trailer Group. The August meeting will be hosted by the Recovery-In-Brooklyn Group located at 401 Canal St in Brooklyn. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..

NOTES FROM THE MEETING:


Paul M. (758-2040) is the new Alternate GSR for the Sparta Group. Congrats!!!!

The Tom D. (282-1973) is the new GSR for the Waterloo Group W and the Alternate GSR for the Red Bud Group. Welcome aboard!!!!

The Where & When for Southern Illinois Area 21 a is in the final stages of completion and will soon appear on the area website.

The Primary Purpose Group has changed its meeting time back to 12 Noon on Wednesday. It used to meet at 9 am on Wednesday. It is a closed, non-smoking, discussion meeting. The location remains the same at 130 North 31st St in Belleville. There is a luncheon potluck on the first Wednesday of each month. The Southern Illinois Area 21 Delegate (Carl M.) will give a brief rundown on the last GSO Conference held in New York. Expect the talk to last about 30 minutes or so.

The meetings at the St Clair County Jail are going very well. Sue and Kelli were given a tour/orientation of the facility. Very thorough. If you might be interested in this area of service work, call Sue S. (398-3648).

Sue S. procured GSR packets from over at Central Services for the district. A couple were passed out at the GSR meeting.

Answering Svc (Ethereal T. – 233-7104): Dist 14 will work with Dist 18 to procure a 1-800 number for the district. Ethereal will work with Todd S. This should eliminate the problems found with Domyan plus be more cost effective plus the district will have a real contract. More on this next month…..

The Tuesday, 8 pm meeting at the OFTG has been canx immediately. This will be changed on the district website and will be reflected in the next edition of the W&W.

The Annual East St Louis Picnic will be held 18 June 2005 at Frank Holten State Park. This is on a Saturday. The event is all day and begins at about 9 am. Hope to see you there.

The East Central Regional Forum will be held on 4-6 Nov 2005 at Michigan Technological University, Memorial Union Bldg, in Houghton Michigan. For more info, call Torv at (906) 884-6338.

The 2005 Spiritual Homecoming will be held on 25-27 November 2005 at the Millennium Hotel in St Louis Missouri. This is a National event Commemorating the 50PthP Anniversary of AA Coming of Age.
