NOTES
FROM THE MEETING:
Jerry
G. (233-1023) is the new Bridging the Gap chairman for the district.
There
will be no meeting at the
Fairview-Heights Group on 25 March 2005 due to the Caseyville Township Hall
being closed.
There
is a new meeting at 130 North 31st St in Belleville. It is called the Primary Purpose Group. It is a closed, discussion and a NO SMOKING
meeting.
The
meetings at the St Clair County Jail
are going very well. Security at
the jail is being upgraded and as a result, all the ladies who carry the message
behind the walls must attend a class on 15 March 2005. According to Sue, the average attendance
is about 15 ladies per meeting. If
you have any old Grapevines, they are needed and if you might be interested in
this area of service work, call Sue S. (398-3648).
Corrections
(Doug
T. 337-8451): Everything
continues to go very well. Doug is
always looking for more volunteers.
Many Grapevines were donated.
Much thanks for these. More
literature is going to be ordered for use at the prison.
Website Committee
(Rich
M. 398-2334 and Gene E. - 277-9730):
The updated Where & When has been loaded onto the site; over 50
changes were made. All the links to
the area of downloads were fixed.
Long term goal is to load the Booze News archive; possibly via scanning
hardcopies into the system with OCR software. Most everyone believes the site looks
good and will serve its intended purpose very well.
Answering
Svc
(Ethereal T. 233-7104): The A.S.
said that no outgoing calls were made for a second consecutive month. Ethereal is going to conduct a more
thorough investigation and report back at the next GSR
meeting.
