NOTES FROM THE MEETING:

Jeff B. (447-6500) is the new GSR for the Cahokia Serenity Group. Welcome to service work.

A Central Services Office awill be located in Roxana IL. This will open in April 2006. More on this next month.

Answering Svc (Ethereal T. – 233-7104): Ethereal talked again with Todd S. and found out that Dist 18 is still with Domyan Answering Service. We were advised to stick with Domyan until the 1-800 number program is instituted. The changeover is expected to happen sometime between the middle of August and the middle of September. The Membership will be kept informed…..

St Clair County Jail Sue S. (398-3648): Really need more women to volunteer to carry the message behind the walls. This is very rewarding for the AA member; you get to see some of the YETS in progress BUT you show the women incarcerated that there is a way out. Call Sue if you can help. You won’t regret it.

2006 Corned Beef & Cabbage Tracy H. (588-3280) : The Cathedral Grade School has been reserved for the 2006 Corned Beef & Cabbage. The date is scheduled for 18 March 2006. Tracy H. (588-3280) is the chairperson with Richard B. as the lead assistant. Sherri L. has arranged for the purchasing of the food. Tracy H. has secured a number of people to help with the event, but more are always appreciated. Call Tracy (588-3280) if you can help. Johnnie S. will be cooking. The eating will commence at 6 pm; the speaker will begin promptly at 7:30 pm and the dance will be from 9 to 11:30 pm. All is a GO for this event.

Corrections (Doug T. – 337-8451): Going very well. More people are going through the certification process and they no longer have to go to Centralia for urinalysis; it can now be done at the prison. In this area of service work, there are never “too many” volunteers. Call Doug if you feel you can do this vital area of service work.

Bridging the Gap ((Sherri L. – 398-0349): Sherri has made contact with a couple of local/regional facilities to let them know how their clients can reach AA in District 14. The facilities were quite happy to learn of this service.

PI (Tom D. – 282-1973) Is really getting into the swing of it. Has made an appointment with the correct personage at Kenneth R. Hall Regional Hospital (ex-St Mary’s) in ESL to see about what is needed to maintain and restock the literature rack there. Also, the VA Clinic in Belleville will be restocked as will St Elizabeth’s.

Treatment Facilities: (Udell G. – 332-2414):
