Answering Svc (Ethereal T. 233-7104): Todd S. of Dist 18 gave an informational talk on the Answering Service. He explained how the current A.S. was brought about, how it works as pertaining to the people who are on the contact lists and how Dist 18 uses the lists for Bridging the Gap contacts.
A proposal has been made to include Dist 17 (Carbondale Region) in the A.S.
Dist 18 has it set up that any call received via the 1-800 number goes to the Central Services Office in South Roxana. Occasionally, a call for Dist 14 will be routed into the C.S.O. in error and then it is forwarded to a person in Dist 14.
Corrections (Doug T. 337-8451): Going very well. However, always looking for volunteers. You are allowed to go for a one-time visit and that includes if you want to go as a speaker. The inmates are genuinely interested. There are two meetings a week being carried into SWICC; Monday and Friday. If interested, call Doug.
