Answering Svc (Ethereal T. – 233-7104):  People are receiving calls to include the editor of the Booze News.

St Clair County Jail (Sue S. – 398-3648):  Really need more women to volunteer to carry the message behind the walls.  This is very rewarding for the AA member; you get to see some of the YETS in progress BUT you show the women incarcerated that there is a way out.  Call Sue if you can help.  You won’t regret it.

Corrections (Doug T. – 337-8451):  Going very well.  More people are going through the certification process and they no longer have to go to Centralia for urinalysis; it can now be done at the prison.  In this area of service work, there are never “too many” volunteers.  Call Doug if you feel you can do this vital area of service work.

The Cathedral Grade School has been reserved for the 2006 Corned Beef & Cabbage.  The date is scheduled for 18 March 2006.  Tracy H. (588-3280) is the chairperson with Richard B. as the lead assistant.  Sherri L. has gotten a source for the food and will be placing the order soon.  Tracy H. has secured a number of people to help with the event, but more are always appreciated.  Call Tracy (588-3280) if you can help.  Johnnie S. will be cooking.  The committee has been given the authority to decide on a DJ or a Band.  District 14 Alanon’s will be asked to assist also.  The eating will commence at 6 pm; the speaker will begin promptly at 7:30 pm and the dance will be from 9 to 11:30 pm.  Possibly more in March….

Bridging the Gap (Sherri L. – 398-0349):  Sherri contacted the treatment center in Missouri that she attended.  A lot of Illinois residents go there and they are thrilled to have a contact in Illinois; especially in District 14.

Treatment (Udell G. – 332-2414):  Always need help on Sundays; the rest of the week is fine at Gateway.  Tracy H. consented to being the first speaker on Friday, 17 Feb 2006 PLUS she promised to bring a bunch of company.  This occasion ought to be the highlight of the winter speaking circuit.
