District 14 met on 11 February in Cahokia with the Cahokia Serenity Group hosting. There were 19 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The March and April 2007 meetings will be hosted by the Page 516 Group in Lebanon. The May and June 2007 meetings will be hosted by the Addieville Schoolhouse Group in Addieville. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..

NOTES FROM THE MEETING:




The Solution Group now meets at St Matthew United Methodist Church at 1200 Moreland Drive in Belleville. It is off 74th Street. The meeting time is still 7 pm on Thursday and the meeting is 1 ½ hours long. It is a closed, no smoking meeting. It is still MEN ONLY.

The Solution Group now has a Saturday night meeting St Matthew United Methodist Church at 1200 Moreland Drive in Belleville. The meeting begins at 7 pm. It is a no-smoking, closed, discussion meeting. This is a mixed (men & women) meeting.

Treatment Facilities (Jason K. – 257-2414): Jason volunteered for the position after Udell G. resigned from the position for personal reasons. Jason is also the GSR for The Solution Group.

Grapevine (Gene E. – 228-9108):

Bridging the Gap (Sherri L. – cell 618-604-3981): She received no calls during the past month. However, she did take a rack and literature into the Women’s Crisis Center. The center was very happy to have the information available.

Answering Svc (Ethereal T. – 233-7104):

Corrections (Doug T. – 337-8451): A ton of literature was ordered and received. SWICC would like to express their gratitude to Dist 14 for all that they have done. Otherwise, all is going very well according to Doug.

Corned Beef & Cabbage 2007: This event will be held on 17 March 2007 at the Cathedral Grade School. The food has been arranged for and a time to pick it up has been set. The DJ has been secured. Plus, we have a good cook all line up. All is a go!

The 25th Annual Five Corners Convention will be held at the Sikeston Armory in Sikeston MO. The address of the Armory is: 300 South Main St, Sikeston MO. There is a Days Inn at 1330 South Main St in Sikeston MO at $55 per night.

The NRN IL Area Spring Conference will be held 30 Mar – 1 Apr 2007 in Moline IL. Maybe more later…..

The 623 Alano Club is having its 23rd Annual Dinner Dance on 31 Mar 2007 at the Swansea Improvement Association Hall. The cost is $10 in advance for the dinner. Tickets for the dinner must be purchased by midnight, 25 Mar 2007. The cost for the speaker and dance only is $5 at the door. Doors open at 6 pm, dinner at 6:30 pm, speaker at 7:30 pm and the dance is at 8:30 pm.

The East Central Regional Conference will be held 18-20 May 2007 in Middleton Wisconsin. Some later…..

The Southern Illinois Area 21 Assembly will be held in Jacksonville IL on 10 June 2007 at the Hamiltons on 110 North East St in Jacksonville IL. Rooms are available at the Econo Lodge Inn. Cost is $54.89 per night (tax included). The cost of registration is $5. More later….

The IL State Conference will be held 3-5 Aug 2007 at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire IL. For reservations ($99 per night), call 847-634-0100. For more info, call Steve K. at 847-746-3479 or Ray L. at 847-336-1393.

The SRN IL 21 Area Assembly will be held on 9 September 2007 and will be hosted by Dist 14. It will be held at the Southern Illinois Heart Institute portion of St Elizabeth’s Hospital. There is lots of parking for the attendee’s. Rooms will be reserved at the Townhouse Motel. Lunch for the attendee’s will be catered as it is for almost every assembly. Registration begins at 7:30 am and the assembly begins at 9 am. More later….

The 2007 East Central Regional Conference will be held 12-14 Oct 2007 in Manitowoc Wisconsin. More seriously later….

The East Central Regional Forum wwill be held 9-11 Nov 2007 in Arlington Heights IL. More a whole lot later…..

The 2008 Southern Illinois Area Spring Conference will be held during the month of March 2008 in District 7. This is beyond seriously later…
