District 14 met on 11 Nov at St Elizabeth’s Hospital but was hosted by the Sparta Group. There were 20 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The 9 Dec GSR Meeting will be tentatively held at St Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 1200 Moreland Drive in Belleville IL. The Solution Group will be hosting. NOTES FROM THE MEETING:
New GSR’s: John S. is the new GSR for the New Baden Group.
The Red Bud Group will be having Johnnie S. present the “Big I” on 30 Nov 2007. This is something that everyone should see at least once --- it is extremely good!!!!
Tracy H. (588-3280) is the Chairperson of the 2007 Alkathon and Judy M. (624-9121) will be helping her. Please feel free to call them with any questions you may have. If you want to volunteer your time, also please give them a call.
The O’Fallon Trailer Group has made a few meeting changes: 1) Tuesday Night Meeting is now a Big Book Study and runs from 6:30 to 8 pm. 2) There are new morning meetings on Mon/Wed/Fri from 7 to 8 am; these are open, discussion meetings.

New Years Eve Dance: 10 pm to 12:30 am…..there will be a DJ…….more later……
Alkathon meetings will be held at 10 am, Noon, 2 pm & 7 pm.
Alkathon meals will be: Breakfast at 8 am, Lunch at Noon & Supper at 6 pm.
Smoking Tent for the Alkathon is a go!!! The cost will be at least $60. The company AA will be using can set it up at the last moment.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
There will be a “Sobriety and the Hole in the Soul” weekend spiritual retreat for alcoholics in recovery and others in 12-step recovery programs at the Kings House Retreat and Renewal Center 16-18 Nov 2007. It begins Friday, 16 Nov 2007 with a 6 pm arrival and registration. You are on your own for supper. Opening session at 7:15 pm and will conclude with lunch on Sunday, 18 Nov 2007.
