District 14 met on 10 Feb 2008 at the 623 Club in Belleville IL and was hosted by the 623 Group. There were 20 GSR’s and guests in attendance. The 9 March and 13 Apr meetings will be hosted by the O’Fallon Trailer Group in O’Fallon. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..

NOTES FROM THE MEETING:




The new GSR for the East St Louis 12x12 Group is: Louis Jones (235-0780) and the new Alt GSR is: Keith Jenkins (618-798-0057).

The new GSR for the O’Fallon Trailer Group is: Kenny Lloyd (618-580-0405)..



CPC (Tracy H. – 618-974-9054): Tracy has drafted the letter and sent it out via email to her team and this will hopefully be sent out by the next GSR Meeting. It will be directed towards the local police departments and then the medical community. The letter will explain what AA is, how to contact AA in the Metro East, the website site address for Where & When info & what committee’s are in place to offer assistance.

Corrections (Doug T. – 337-8451): Always need more volunteers. If you want to go for a one-time visit; let me know and I will get it arranged. The one-time visitor should have at least one year of sobriety. The meetings at SWICC are M & F at 7 p.m. Otherwise, everything is going fine.

is the chairperson for CB&C. The date is 15 March 2008. Everything is a “go”. Flyers were printed and were handed out at the Feb 08 GSR Meeting. Hope to see everyone there…..

The Cathedral Grade School will be reserved for the 2008 Alkathon. A motion was made and passed to make a deposit with the intent to reserve the facility.


UPCOMING EVENTS:


The 15th Annual Aloha Roundup will be held in Honolulu Hawaii on 22-24 Feb 2008. If you register early, you can save $5 on the registration plus $5 on the Aloha Sunset. The website URL for registration is: http://www.aloharoundup.com

The 27th Annual Five Corners Convention will be held 23-23 Feb 2008 in Sikeston Missouri at the Sikeston Armory. This is at 300 South Main St in Sikeston. Call the Days Inn for reservations at 573.471.3930.

The Southern Illinois Area Assembly will be held on 8 June 2008 at the Renaissance Room at 440 North Walnut in Danville IL. It will be hosted by Dist 9. Really….there was no name of the place on the flyer.
