Corrections (Doug T.
- 337-8451): Report was given by
Jack G. All is going well. Doug had a meeting with the prison chaplain
to go over the rules and regulations.
This is done at least once per year.
Central Service Office
(Lee W. 654-9245): CSO is still
working out the bylaws and such. CSO
had the Annual New Years Day breakfast.
It was very well attended.
Grapevine (Gene E.
228-9108): 20 subscriptions were given
out at the Alkathon. This is the most
ever!! Absolutely fantastic!!
PI/Literature (Tom D. - 282-1973):
Not present.
Treatment Facilities
(Donella C. 234-2283): Not
present
Website (Rich M. 398-2334): Everything
is doing great & looking fine.
Workshop (Tom S. 618-615-1311): During
the Alkathon, a workshop on the 4th Step was held. 28 people were present and
participated. A video was presented and
then a round-table discussion was conducted.
Tom S. is hoping to have a workshop every couple of months or so. He is setting up one for the 28th
of Feb 2010 at the 623 Group. More
later
Alkathon 2009: Connie S. (618-304-7557) summed it up nicely, its over. Loud cheers and applause greeted that
statement. It actually went quite well
but it is a monumental amount of work.
She voiced concern that it seemed like many have lost sight of the fact
that each dinner is a potluck-oriented event.
This was certainly not true for each night but it is a cause for
concern. The cleaning by each group was
superb. Connie was given profuse
accolades for a superb job; the fellowship saw how the Alkathon was supposedly
to be run and appreciated it greatly.
Connie gave much credit to Terry S. as he does much behind the scenes.
The District had previously approved the purchase of coffee pots. Donated and borrowed coffee pots were used
for the Alkathon. At least two coffee
pots will be purchased: one large one
for regular coffee and a smaller one for decafe. The investment will alleviate any problems with
borrowing/loaning.
St Clair County Jail: (Sue M. 398-3648): Not present.
Where & When for 2010 (Gene E. 228-9108): The draft W&W was passed around at the
GSR Meeting for a last review. Any
changes will be done and then it will be mailed off to the printers. The Trusted Servants have authorized 3500
copies to be made. Expect receipt of
the new W&W by 1 Mar 2010.
Corned Beef & Cabbage for 2010: 20 March 2010 is the tentative date; this may change. The
district has made a deposit to reserve a date.
Connie S. & Mike F. are co-chairs for this year. Calvin H. will be getting the food and
associated supplies this year. More not
too much later
Alkathon 2010: Mike F. is the chairman for this event. More later
