District 14 met on 16 May 2010 at the O'Fallon Trailer Group & the meeting was hosted by the East St Louis Groups. There were a lot of GSR’s and guests in attendance. The 13 June 2010 GSR Meeting will be held at the 623 Club with the Gatehouse Group hosting. The time for all GSR Meetings remains the same at 1 pm. See you there…..

NOTES FROM THE MEETING:

Corrections (Doug T. - 337-8451): Not Present

Central Service Office (Lee W. – 654-9245): A request was forwarded via Dist 18 from SWICC requesting a donation of books and literature. Much discussion on this item. As Doug was absent, the item was tabled until the June 2010 GSR Meeting.

CPC (Calvin H. – 719-9872): Calvin still has questions. It was suggested that he attend an area assembly to meet the area CPC chair.

Grapevine (Gene E. 228-9108): Not present.

PI/Literature (Tom D. - 282-1973): Not Present

Treatment Facilities (Roger B. – 314-616-5886: No Report

Website (Rich M. – 398-2334): The website has been updated. Looking great.

Workshop (Rich M. – 618-581-4156): The workshop on service work went very well. It was well attended by over a dozen people with questions. Rich M. is the new Workshop Chair as Tom S. had to move.

St Clair County Jail: (Sue M. – 398-3648): Not present.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The 2010 Spring Fling Convention will be held Memorial Day Weekend (28-30 May 2010) at the Marriot West in St Louis MO. For more info, contact Susan H. (314) 583-5296 or Mike O. (314) 640-1875.

The Southern Illinois Area 21 Assembly will be hosted by District 4 on 6 June 2010 at the Sparta VFW at 1911 North Market St in Sparta IL. Registration begins at 7:30 am, Assembly begins at 9 am & the cost of lunch will be $7.00. For more info, contact Joe J. (618) 318-9666 or Nancy D. (618) 295-3435.

The East St Louis Groups are planning their yearly Juneteenth Celebration on 19 June 2010 at Frank Holten State Park. The eating commences at Noon & will last until the food is all gone. Covered dishes would be greatly appreciated. Music will be provided.

The Sparta Group are having a part on 4 July 2010. More info coming on this......

The 623 Group will be having a picnic on 24 July 2010 in conjunction with the Gatehouse Group. It will be held at Hough Park. More info is coming.......

The Southern Illinois Area 21 Assembly will be hosted by District 18 on 11 Sep 2010 at the Moose Lodge in Edwardsville IL. The Holiday Inn in Troy will be available for rooms at $89 per night. The latest date for reservations is 11 July 2010. More really later…..

The annual Cahokia-Waterloo Picnic will be held in either August or September 2010. The location is as yet undecided. More later…..
