NOTES FROM THE MEETING:

There is a new closed women's meeting on Sunday at 6 p.m. It is at 401 Sherman (basement) in Belleville IL. Between Tommy Z's & Country Sampler. This will be entered in the W&W update.

Bridging the Gap (Jim S. - 618-615-9106): No report.

Corrections (Doug T. - 337-8451): Meetings are still going great. Always looking for more volunteers. The approval process timeline has gotten markedly shorter; about two weeks. Also, the inmates really appreciate the literature.

CPC (Paula E. - 910-0047, Terry S. - 979-1114 & Tracy H. - 618-974-9054): No report.

CSO (Chris M. - 618-975-4510): Chris was not present for the meeting. An discussion (whether it was about CSO is still unsure) did take place & the results of the follow-up actions taken to check on the Answering Service & the 1-800 number interplay with CSO & Dist 18 will be reported next month.

Grapevine (Chuck G. - 618-520-6239): Not present.

PI/Literature: Ed N. (618-444-7363): Ed has been reviewing the workbook & there is a lot to it. Ed called the Area PI/Lit Chairperson & was provided some guidance. Ed will also check on the places that Dist 14 has maintained literature racks in the past & see if this is still required.

Treatment Facilities Brandon C. (618-580-6392): Brandon emailed/called 14 district treatment chairs for meetings at treatment facilities in their districts. He also went to Gateway & talked to the director. Offered support in the way of literature. Called & left a message with SMARTS. Also, he called St Elizabeth's & offered help. The point of contact was most appreciative for a somebody to be able to contact. Brandon did leave a supply of Where & Whens. Called a local juvenile detention facility & offered assistance in the way of speakers. They must be over the age of 21 to be able to address the juveniles. A busy month for Brandon & a smashing success.

Website (Rich M. – 420-8242): The district 14 website is down once again. Rich is working on a fix. It should be up and running in a few days.

Workshop (Rich M. – 618-381-3572): The workshop on Traditions 4-6 was held on 28 Dec at the Alkathon & it was a success. The two panelists were a unique contrast in personalities & styles. They complemented each other but yet were offsets. A true success!!!

Alkathon 2011: It was probably the best attended Alkathon in recent memory. The relatively mild weather may have had something to do with the turnout. The cleanup went spectacularly well. East St Louis is given special thanks for their performance on the final day. A final wrapup will be given at February's GSR Meeting.

Corned Beef & Cabbage 2012: The date has been set for 17 Mar 2012. This is a Saturday in case you are wondering. Paula E. is the chairperson for the event. DJ is already set & will be Bill B. Flyers were passed out at the Jan GSR Meeting. More next month......

Where & When Revision for 2012: The draft was passed around the GSR Meeting for trusted servants to check. This will be done again at the Feb GSR Meeting & then it will go to the printers. More later....
