IN MEMORIAMFreddie “Fred” Morrison
A longtime member of the 623 Group where he regularly attended the Friday 7 am & Sunday 10:30 am Meetings Fred held a position as Group Treasurer. He was a very intricate part of the 623 Club as a Board Member and Treasurer. Fred celebrated 28 years of sobriety in October 2016. His presence is sorely missed and he will never be forgotten.
Attended the Solution Group Meetings for years and recently attended the 623 Group – Primary Purpose Meetings on Thursday at 6:30 pm. Bryan always had a smile on his face and made friends everywhere he went. He was loved by many.

P.O. Box 23794
Belleville IL 62223
New Officers for the 623 Group: Debbie W. – GSR, Rob – Alt GSR, Clint C. – Secretary, Johnnie S – Treasurer.
Gene E. BN is doing great. The 2017 Edition of the W&W was picked up on 25 Mar 2017. The biggest change to the W&W was the easier to read, larger print tailored towards the older AA member but it will benefit all. Over 1000 W&W’s were distributed at the 9 April 2017 GSR Meeting. 20-30 were mailed to the County Office in Carlyle IL for their usage as they deem prudent.
Wants to set up a call/contact list for people just getting out of incarceration. He wants the signees to list what meetings they go to. This was started during the GSR Meeting.
A letter was sent to the CEC Program Coordinator and Asst Warden addressing the low attendance at the meetings and asking if this was cyclical or what & was informed that it is cyclical. On 25 April 17, SWICC is holding their annual Volunteer Orientation to review state regulations & update the TB tests which will be reviewed on 27 April 17 which is the date for the annual Volunteer Banquet. Meetings have from 4-12 attendees and there are meetings on Monday & Friday.
Picked up CPC materials from Dave S. (old CPC Chair) & rcv’d some contact info. Much discussion past, present & future CPC activities. Dist 14 is committed to the Outreach Affair of 22 July 17 at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center in ESL. This is a sober event with many organizations participating.
All continues to go well. A total of 73 visitors/phone calls were handled by CSO. Funding remains rock solid. Literature is stocked to the max. It should be noted that the literature is sold at cost….no profit is incurred by CSO. A great service to the program.
You can order a package of 50 GV’s for a nominal fee ($10-12) for usage at any place of need. These are always extra copies of back issues and you might get some duplication. A great deal nonetheless.
Picked up PI/LIT materials with contact lists from Ed N. (old PI/Lit Chair). I have visited all of the current places where the district furnishes literature. Took requests for appropriate pamphlets; especially the new W&W which were made available to Dave. A new location was secured for placement of AA literature.
