- District 14 met on 13 Aug 2017 at the 623 Club and was jointly hosted by the Trenton and Busted Ego Groups. There were 19 attendees.
- There will be no meeting in Sep 2017.
- The 8 Oct 2017 meeting will be at the O’Fallon Trailer Group in O’Fallon. The time of the meeting(s) remains 1 p.m. Hope to see you there.

There is a New Meeting: Phases of Our Development at St Pauls Lutheran Church at 227 Goodhaven Drive in Columbia IL. The meetings are: Monday at 5:30 p.m. (C/D), Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. (C/D) & Friday at 5:30 p.m.(O/Literature – Newcomers). This has been added to the Dist 14 Website.
There is a New Meeting: O’Fallon Trailer Group, Saturday, 12 Noon, 1 hour meeting. It is an O/D/NS meeting. This will be added to the Dist 14 Website.
There is a New Meeting at the 623 Club. For now, it is called: Random Recovery Readings on tuesday at 6 pm & it is upstairs. It is a C/Literature & you must bring your own books. It is a possibility that there may be more later. This will be added to the Dist 14 Website.
The Faith Family Church in Shiloh IL is interested in hosting an AA Meeting. If you are interested in starting a meeting there. Please reach out to us through the contact form on the website if you are interested. aa-district14.org
The Dr Bobs Group that met on Monday Night at 7 p.m. at St Elizabeths Hospital has been closed for some time. The website will be updated.
The Chester Group that met on Thursday Night at 8 p.m. has stopped meeting for now. It may resume at some time in future. The website will be updated.

Booze News and Where & When’s: Gene E.: W&W’s: More were handed out at the Aug GSR Mtg.BN: There is an application on the Dist 14 Website where requests to be added to the BN distribution list can be done….either by email or USPS. It is asked of the applicant that their first & last names be provided to keep people somewhat separated. At this writing, two requests have been received but it is anticipated there will be more.
Bridging the Gap: Craig Z. – Just appointed to the position after the meeting.
Corrections: Chuck D. & Ed H.: The meetings are doing OK. Average attendance is about 15 people. Need more Grapevines.
CPC: Terry L. & Jaclyn C.: No Report
CSO: Vacant (the monthly meeting is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month)
Grapevine: Dennis M. : Not Present
PI/LIT: Dave S.: On 22 July 17, the PI and CPC Committees collaborated by sponsoring an info table at the Convoy of Hope outreach event at the Jackie Joyner Kersee Center in ESL from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Over 6K people reportedly attended and were taken care of by the volunteers and organization participants.
AA members occupied a table in one of the community svc tents. The community svc areas did not realize the traffic flow the other tents enjoyed, but we were kept busy answering questions and supplying pamphlet literature, Grapevines & WW’s.
Thanks are due to Gordon N., Dennis M., Eric O., Austin N. & Cory K. for their willingness and enthusiasm in carrying the message of AA.

The 34th Annual Fall Classic will be held 1-3 Sep 2017 at the Airport Hilton at 10330 Natural Bridge Road in St Louis MO. Registration is $20; the banquet is $44; the brunch is $18. Always a fantastic time and a great location and facility. For more info, contact Stacey Z.
The Southern IL Serenity Campout (formerly the Rend Lake Campout) will be held 8-10 Sep 2017 at the Arrowhead Lake Campground at 1600 Peterson Avenue in Johnston City IL.

The Southern IL Area 21 Assembly will be held 10 Sep 2017 at the Quincy Senior & Family Resource Center at639 York St in Quincy IL and the host will be District 5. Registration begins at 8 a.m. & costs $5. Assembly starts right sharp at 9 a.m. Lunch will be catered by the Center & is $11.50 per person.
Dr Bobs Group Annual Picnic will be held Saturday, 16 Sep 2017. It will be held at Bellvue Park at the Stone Pavilion and the festivities begin at 11 a.m. With the eating commencing at 12 Noon. There will be an AA and a Alanon speaker. The bringing of a covered dish and/or a desert is strongly encouraged and appreciated. See you there…..
The Cahokia & Waterloo Annual Picnic will be held Saturday, 16 Sep 2017 at Konarcik Park in Waterloo. The eating will begin sharply at 12 Noon with the speaker at 1 p.m.
The 20th Annual Illinois-Misouri Men’s AA Breakfast will be held 5 Nov 2017 at the Orlando Gardens at 2050 Dorsett Village in Maryland Heights MO. Breakfast begins right sharp at 9 a.m. with the speaker at 10 a.m. who will be Dennis H. of Belleville IL. The cost is $22 per person. No tickets will be sold at the door.
The 1st National Corrections Conference will be held 10-12 Nov 2017 at the Doubletree Hotel at 1973 Craigshire in St Louis MO. Registration is $30 and the Banquet is $30.
