Southern Illinois Area 21 Report

The Delegate from Southern Area 21, Bobby D. gave a brief report that reflected most strongly & favorably on the first ever Virtual GSO Conference. The conference was a stunning success beyond the expectations of any & all!!! A lot of people put in a lot of effort to make it happen!!! As Bobby said, “AA has met the challenge & adapted with stellar results”. A truly unique experience for all the GSO Conference attendees in this year of unique challenges. I was truly humbled to be part of it.

Rule 970: Seldom did we look at character-building as something desirable in itself. We never thought of making honesty, tolerance, and true love of man and God the daily basis of living. Courtesy of the Grapevine, Jan 1958

Rule 971: No alcoholic should go mad or die merely because he/she did not come straight to AA at the beginning. Courtesy of the Grapevine, July 1965

Rule 972: The verdict of the ages is that men/women of faith seldom lack courage. They trust their God. So we never apologize for our belief in Him. Instead, we try to let Him demonstrate, through us, what He can do. Courtesy of the Big Book, pg 68

Rule 973: Only through utter defeat are we able to take our first steps toward liberation and strength. Our admissions of personal powerlessness finally turn out to be firm bedrock upon which happy and purposeful lives may be built. Courtesy of the 12×12, pg 21
