District 14 met on 9 June 2019 at the 623 Club & was hosted by Dr Bobs Group in Belleville IL. There were 18 attendees. The next meeting will be held on 21 July 2019 at the 623 Club . As always, the meeting starts at 1 p.m. Hope to see you there.
NOTE: The meeting was moved from 14 to 21 July 2019 as the 14 July date conflicted with the East Central Regional Conference.

Brent R. is the new GSR for the Half Measures Group.
Dennis M. is the new Alt GSR for Dr Bobs Group.
There is a new meeting in Columbia IL. It is called the Three Amigos & it meets on Friday at 6 p.m. The address is: 180 Admiral Trost Drive. It meets inside the BJC Medical Bldg and please park in the rear. The meeting info will be available in the on-line Where & When.
There is also a recently new meeting at the Union United Methodist Church at 721 East Main St in Belleville. It is called the Half Measures Group. It meets on Monday at 7 p.m. It is an O/D/NS meeting. The meeting info will be available in the on-line Where & When.
The district is still pursuing acquiring tax-exempt status as a not-for-profit entity. There is more than one category of this & some research will be conducted before a recommendation is made to the Trusted Servants for action. This would preclude the paying of sales tax and some reports would have to be provided. Research is ongoing as of 9 June 2019.

Corrections: Chuck D. and Ed H.: Currently, there are 4 people approved to go into SWICC on Mon & Fri. The process to get approved to become an approved volunteer has become less arduous. A relief to all. The National Corrections Conference Committee had requested funds to support the annual conference; it actually had to state that enough funds had been received & to stop sending money. An awesome response to be sure!!! Ed H. will attend the conference representing Area 21. Chuck D. may go representing Dist 14….more on that later…..
CPC: Eric O.: Contacted one doctor in Fairview Heights. Continue to hand out W&W’s & giving info where I can.

Grapevine: Dana C.: Nothing to report.
MESYPAA: There was a hosted event on 8 June 2019 & it went very well. Now, they are working on the hotel contract for the MESYPAA Conference.

Technology Committee: Rob C.: The Annual National AA Technology Workshop is being held on 20-22 Sep 2019 in Bowling Green KY. Rob will be attending this event.

On 22 June 2019, the 623 Club is holding the 3rd Annual Speaker Jam. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. & go until at least 9 p.m. There are 6 speakers scheduled. A light breakfast & lunch plus dinner will be available. There will be a 50/50 raffle, book raffle, Grapevine raffles & more. The 3rd Annual Metro-East Banquet will be held 3 Aug 2019 at Bellecourt Manor at 225 East A St in Belleville IL. The fellowship begins at 5:30 pm and the dinner begins at 6:30 pm. The speaker will begin promptly at 8 p.m. The speaker is Marti P. of Buda TX. Tickets are $30 and the last day for ticket sales is 19 July 2019. There will be no tickets sales at the door. The Rend Lake Campout at Rend Lake is back!!! It will be held 22-25 Aug 2019. The location is the North Sandusky Loop at the Shagbark Group Area. The fees are $20 per camper & $10 per tent. More later….
The December 2019 Area Assembly will be hosted by District 14 & will be held on 8 Dec 2019. More to come later…..
