The district researched the cost of getting a storage unit. After research, it was decided on a unit in O’Fallon that is climate controlled (heat & humidity) met our needs. The Trusted Servants approved the rental of the unit. Arrangements are being made to move all the Districts supplies & Archives to that location.
The district is still pursuing acquiring tax-exempt status as a not-for-profit entity. There is more than one category of this & some research will be conducted before a recommendation is made to the Trusted Servants for action. This would preclude the paying of sales tax and some reports would have to be provided. Research is ongoing as of 10 Mar 2019.
Archives: Alex C. (314.600.6569): All is going well. Alex would like to attend the National Archives Convention/Conference in Sep 2019. She recently received a lot of material for the archives which will be cataloged and made available for display.
